The '''assassin game''' is a [[communication game]] that is played over a longer period of time (usually even days). It is casually played alongside other activities.

== Preparation ==
The trainer collects the names of all the participants (unique names are required). From that list, one large cycle of assassinations is created (so, A kills B, B kills C, C kills D, ...., Z kills A). Of course, nobody should be able to guess whom has to kill whom. 

Each player is told whom he has to kill (this works best if an envelope is prepared for each player). 

== Procedure ==
After telling the rules and giving out the tasks, the game starts. Then, all players have to execute their tasks. However, at first, the normal program of the day is resumed.

;killing someone
At any time, each person can kill the person it has to kill. This can happen by giving an object to the person. If the victim takes the object voluntarily, then the killer tells the victim that it has just been killed. So, for instance, throwing an object to another person does not result in a valid kill.

A kill is only valid if no active (living!) player observes the assassination. If some living person observes the killing, it is invalid, and the game just continues. This leaves the victim knowing its hitman, making it much harder for him to succeed in his mission.

;after someone is killed
Any person killed passes on its task to the killer (so if A killed B and B had to kill C, then A now has to kill C). All living players always have a victim (and are victim of somebody else). Additionally, all killed persons write their name, as well as method, time, and location of their death on a public list after some time (not immediately, so that other participants get less hints who killed the person). If you play with tokens, the dead player also removes his token (and usually gives it as trophy to his killer).

Of course, dead player may deliver no information to living players.
