Hangman is a simple guessing game and brain game. It is typically played by two papers, but can be modified for more players (e.g., in teams).
Equipment
You need at least one pen and a sheet of paper to play hangman.
Procedure
One player, the referee, chooses a long and complicated word. It may not be made-up, but must be an existing word. For each letter of the word, he draws a short line on the paper (in the size of one written letter).
The other player (or, both players alternately) guesses one letter of the word. If the word contains the letter, then all occurrences are written on the respective lines (the lines are replaced with the letter). If the word does not contain the letter, the guesser gets one negative point. Often, that is done by drawing a "hangman" line by line (see image). Winner is the player that can solve the word correctly, or that is the last to survive the game (his hangman not completed).
