Human Tic Tac Toe
Type: brain game
Number of players: about 10 to 20
Location: small playing field
Equipment: ropes, or chalk, or sheets of paper
Duration: short
Preparation: mark the playing field

Humane Tic-Tac-Toe is a variation of Tic Tac Toe that is played with humans (instead of on paper).

Equipment

  • ropes, chalk, or something similar to mark the playing field
  • you could also use sheets of paper, or stones for that purpose
  • optionally, you can use some markers to visualize which players are "X"s and "O"s.

Procedure

The game is played just like Tic Tac Toe. Instead of playing it on a sheet of paper, however, the game is played with human participants as "playing stones". Thus, the game can be played by a larger group.

The actual rules depend on the number of participants available. Either two players compete each other, and the others are just "playing stones", or the group discusses the next move (however, of course the opponent is listening to them, so they have to take care what to say).
