Memory tag is a combination of tag game and memory game. It combines elements of the games dragon's tail tag and memory (concentration).

Equipment

Each player needs a marker (like a scarf, a clothespin, etc.) and one card of a memory deck.

Procedure

Each player gets one card of the deck so that always two players have the same card (the referees should take some notes which player got which card). Of course, none of the players know which cards the other players have! Additionally, each player puts his marker somewhere on his back, so that it still can be removed easily (just by pulling).

When the game starts, everyone tries to steal the marker from some other player (like in dragon's tail tag). When one player manages to do so, both he and the robbed player are immune for some time (they may not be further attacked). The robbed player shows his card to the successful robber, that in turn gives back the marker.

Goal of the game is to find out all the pairs of players having the same card. As soon as one player knows a pair, he tells the referee about this. When his suspicion is correct, he gets one point. Winner of the game is the player that can identify all pairs first (or that has collected points after a certain time).
