Picture

Poisson is an active coordination game. It can be played inside as well as outside.

Equipement

You need one larger standing object. It should be a bit smaller than the participants, something like a large (sledge) hammer, a large cardboard roll or several stacked boxes.

Procedure

The participants form a circle and hold each other's hands. In the middle of this circle, the object (the "poison") is put, standing upright.

By pulling each other's hands, sometimes even by pushing, the players try to bring the other players to knock over the object. The player touching the object and causing it to knock over is out of the game. The other players start a new round. When two players loose the hold of their hands, both are out of the game as well.

The last players to remain in the game. Usually, two or three players win, as the last rounds are often not very interesting.

Variations

  • The game gets harder (but probably more interesting) if more than one object is used as poison.
