Duration: | a few minutes |
Preparation: | none |
Rag soccer is an active game for 10 to 20 players.
Equipment
- two brooms
- one ball (real ball, but usually better: a small rag)
- two goals
Procedure
The basic idea of the game is similar to number tag. The players are split into two equally sized groups, each player gets a number assigned (1 to "number of players" for each group). The teams are standing in the middle of the room, facing each other (the first player of the one group faces the last player of the other group, and so on).
The trainer then shouts one of the numbers. The respective players grab their team's broom. Using it, they try to score a goal with the ball that was put in the center of the playing field. The first team to score a goal earns one point. Of course, only the one player of the team may participate, and he may only use the broom to move the ball towards the goal.
After some time, the team that scored most goals wins the game.
