Statues is an active game for any number of participants (four or more). The participants have to run fast but also be honest.
Equipment
You don't need any equipment.
Procedure
One player is selected to be the hunter. He is facing the wall (or looking away from the participants). The other players are standing on the other end of the playing field, they represent the hares.
The hunter then shouts the following sentence:
The hares run across the the meadow.
(There are different texts for different variations of the game). While he says the sentence, the hares may actually run towards the hunter. However, as soon as he finishes the sentence, he turns towards the hares and tries to find any of them. The hares have to freeze immediately, and don't move. The hunter can only see moving hares. All the hares that still move when he turns over are out of the game (or have to move back to the starting position). The first hare that can actually reach the hunter wins the game (and may probably start a new round as new hunter).
