Sum is a brain game for participants that are fast calculators. It can be played by pairs of players, probably in tournaments.
Equipment
You don't need any equipment.
Procedure
Always two players compete each other. Both form a first and hold it next to the opponents fist. Then, both players stretch a random number of fingers (between zero and five). The first player that can then express the sum of both hand's fingers wins the game. Usually, several rounds are played to determine the winner.
The winner of the pair then competes against the winner of another pair, until only one player remains, winning, the tournament.
Variations
- You can also play with two hands per participant (raising the maximal sum to 20).
- For computer science geeks, you can also use the fingers as digits and interpret them as binary numbers.
- You can play with more than two players for a sum.
