Rolling coin
Type: | coordination game |
Number of players: | about 10 |
Location: | small playing field |
Equipment: | coin (2 Euro), plastic canvas |
Duration: | a few minutes |
Preparation: | none |
The rolling coin is a coordination game for about 10 participants.
Equipment
- a coin (like a 2 Euro or any other large coin)
- a (plastic) canvas (at least 2 by 2 meters)
Procedure
The participants hold the canvas and strain it in the height of their hips. The coin is put on the canvas and "rolled" over it. By raising and lowering the canvas, the participants now have to try to keep the coin rolling around the canvas, neither falling off of it nor toppling over. How long is the group able to keep the coin rolling?
When the coin topples, it can either be rolled again by a participant, or it can be made to move again by shaking the canvas.
